I can confirm that I saw this issue with the server forcibly switched to EFI only, and using grub-efi. I cannot easily reproduce this because the system is in production use, but I will nevertheless send a report to Supermicro with my findings, so they can try to reproduce it on identical hardware and with 15.10 in EFI mode.
