Public bug reported:
The current Desktop / Live CD does not show kernel panic messages. My system
does not boot without adding "noapic" to the boot line. Ubuntu 6.10 shows the
corresponding kernel panic which told me to to "try booting with the 'noapic'
option". The current Gutsy beta just hangs showing the "kernel alive" message
but fails to provide that useful information.
