Public bug reported:

I'm trying to create a VM with install Ubuntu 15.10 using VMware workstation
12.1
The installation crashes all the time at the same place when trying to copy
some copyright files from CDROM
My laptop does not have CDROM device, I'm using a virtual CDROM which is
mounted to the installer ISO file

Ubuntu installation crashes and requests restart. After restarting it
can't boot properly - hangs
