As discussed: this is probably as easy as mangling the image urls to use
image://thumbnailer/ either for all non-image:// ones or at least for a
whitelist of {http,https,file,ftp} ones.

** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image
Assignee: (unassigned) => Michał Sawicz (saviq)

** Description changed:

  STEPS:
  1. Install the latest rc-proposed image
  2. Move to the apps scope
  3. Open the store
  4. Search for uTorch
- 5. Click on install
+ 5. Open the preview
+ 6. Go out of the preview
+ 7. Go into preview again

  EXPECTED:
- I expect the images to be instantly there cached from looking at the main page
+ I expect the images to be almost instantly there cached from looking at the
preview the first time

  ACTUAL:
- Every page through the install reloads the images as they are not cached at
the correct scale (Possibly)
+ The images are downloaded from the web again.
