Public bug reported:

I received what looked like an ordinary update icon, but when I clicked on it,
I got the following message.
I know it relates to AWN, but since it seems to affect the package manager as
well as the update manager, I felt I should report it here.

This is on a laptop running a Centrino 1.3ghz single core, 1 gig RAM, 80
Gig HDD with about 40 Gig availible, 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics.

I am also running Compiz Fusion
All had been running well until this point. My system seems to be running ok,
but I can't use System update or Synaptic.

It won't allow me to open the update manager nor Synaptic. The error
comes up and when I click OK, it closes the whole process.

A unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include
the following error message:

'E:Dynamic MMap ran out of room, E:Error occurred while processing
libawn-bzr (NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList
/var/lib/apt/lists/download.tuxfamily.org_syzygy42_dists_feisty_avant-
window-navigator_binary-i386_Packages, E:The package lists or status
file could not be parsed or opened.'

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
