I'm not able to reproduce this, I've tried with 100+ tracks in the queue with the audio playing repeatedly pressing next - the UI sometimes lags but so far it has always caught up.
Are you able to provide exact reproducible steps, I feel information such as are you playing the track when you skip to the next? is shuffle or repeat enabled? does it always stop at the same track or just N amount? could be useful :-) Also which device are you running? And what version is the device?
