Public bug reported:

I tried to create a simple gui app with Glade interface designer
3.18.3-1 installed from Ubuntu software center on Xubuntu 16.04. After
running glade for a while I noticed the lag while moving the mouse
around. I opened System Monitor (see screenshots). Glade went from using
100mb of ram to 600mb and later on 1.6gb, while using 100% cpu. Later on
I tested the same thing just by opening glade file. After few minutes
glade started to eat ram & cpu while it sat idle.
