Public bug reported:

I tried several times to install Linux Mint (at first) and Xubuntu
(secondly) on the same M.2 SSD where I have installed my Win10. The PC
I'm using is the brand new ASUS N552VW-FI056T. The installation always
crashes and I have to abort it.

What's more, it doesn't recognize Win10 as an OS, then it does not give
me the chance to automatically install Linux alongside it. I have to do
it manually, so I resize the win partition from windows, leaving
something like 120GB unallocated, then I manually install (chosing
option "other") the Linux Distro but it crashes anyway, all the time.

It is driving me nuts!

Please help me
