can everyone having this problem please try playing the offending videos with:
$mpv --hwdec=vdpau --vo=vdpau and $mpv --hwdec=vdpau --vo=gl You may have to install mpv. Also, verify that you have a package called libvdpau-va-gl1 installed. Report the results.
