I have received the following email. Could someone explain why this is necessary?
"Steve ... Did you not see my note on the bug report? The bug was fixed ages ago. Updating will continue to show the bug. The ONLY cure is to completely wipe the drive, or the two partitions if you have anything else on the drive, and do a complete re-install. That bug carries through all updates and other attempts to get rid if it. I had to do this over a three months ago, and the bug has not re-appeared. Currently, there is a bug in ubiquity. You need to use fdisk to get rid of the swap partition before re-installing." -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1539939 Title: missing menu in top panel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1539939/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
