Hello, Where did the: /etc/network/interfaces.d/encf5f0 allow-hotplug encf5f0 iface encf5f0 inet dhcp
Come from? I don't believe installer, nor any default automation writes any files into interface.d directory. At install time, only /etc/network/interfaces file should be generated with is correct. The preseed file comes without any network configuration information, I presume network configuration would have been done via paramfile. Could you please attach /var/log/installer? And/or correct a crash report with $ apport-bug debian-installer and attach the resultant report to this bug report. We need to find out how that interfaces.d/ snippet got created/written, as I'm failing to reproduce it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1556241 Title: installer sets "iface encf5f0 inet dhcp" although a static IP address was preseeded To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/1556241/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
