Public bug reported: Hello,
Please include the below patches into Xenial, previous releases might also require it. These allow for a crash to be triggered through a NMI call, and for the whole crash process to complete successfully. Otherwise, the VM might just hang and not write the dump core files. 7268644734f6a300353a4c4ff8bf3e013ba80f89 Drivers: hv: vmbus: Support kexec on ws2012 r2 and above d81274aae61c0a045cd0f34191c51fa64ba58bc4 Drivers: hv: vmbus: Support handling messages on multiple CPUs Thank you! ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: hyper-v kernel-da-key kernel-hyper-v -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1558720 Title: [Hyper-V] patches to allow kdump crash through NMI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1558720/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
