Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
After upgrade from feisty to gutsy and reboot i get desktop without theme (with simple theme) and without volume control applet. When i try to launch gnome-appearance-properties i got error: Unable to start the settings manager 'gnome-settings-daemon'. Without the GNOME settings manager running, some preferences may not take effect. This could indicate a problem with Bonobo, or a non-GNOME (e.g. KDE) settings manager may already be active and conflicting with the GNOME settings manager. And theme changes does not affect desktop. I got the same error when i trying to launch other programs from "Preferences menu". gnome-settings-daemon seems to be launched.
