Public bug reported:

Synaptic is the only sw installer that:
 - Warns people what extra packages are being installed
 - warns people before removing sw
 - allows people to see all depends (both directions)
 - allows people to find out which files where installed and where
 - passes package queries through to the user instead of assuming "No"
