Thanks for your bug. To be useful a bug needs some detail, like the
version of the distribution and the package you are using, and a
description of when the issue happens: on the first start of the box?
after login out and login in again? is that specific to your user?.
Could you get a backtrace for the crasher too? After starting gnome try
to run gnome-settings-daemon from a command line and note if it exits or
crashes. If it crashes you can run "gdb gnome-settings-deamon", then
"run" on the gdb prompt and "thread apply all bt" after the crash
