Public bug reported:
For both Xubuntu and Lubuntu i386 Beta 2 releases of 16.04, the
completed installation to a USB flash drive fails to boot. Lenovo T400
successfully used to install i386 version from DVD to USB flash drive
(for both Xubuntu and Lubuntu). The install boots to a certain point
and loses the ability to find the USB drive in order to continue
booting. The booting process then stops at a busybox shell.
The booting process indicates an inability to communicate with (a) USB
device prior to looking for scripts. I could take a video of the boot
process if needed. Again this affects more than one flavour of 16.04.
I haven't had any issues booting various flavours of Ubuntu from USB
flash drives on this machine previously, though this is the first time I
have tried an i386 install. I have 4GB of RAM installed
