My fix from #21 work only for a logout and not for a reboot.

For Xubuntu 16.04 this workaround works:

On the Dropbox menu go to Preferences. Deselect "Start Dropbox on system
startup"

Go to Session and Startup > Application Autostart and add the following
startup item:

bash -c 'sleep 30 && dropbox stop && export XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP="Unity"
&& dropbox start -i'

After 30sec the dropbox icon is correct.
