pitti, the problem occurs only on a virtual machine which is on a laptop
which gets frequently suspended (suspend to RAM). So processing gets
stopped at a point of time and when it carries on after waking up from
suspend the watchdog timers have all timed out. They should be stopped
during the suspend, too.
