Reproduced as follows in Ubuntu 16.03b2 (will also apply to 16.04rc and/or 16.04.0-LTS when released) using sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree: --- ERROR: failed to retrieve status information from google : W: Can't drop privileges for downloading as file './var/lib/apt/lists/partial/dl.google.com_linux_chrome_deb_dists_stable_InRelease' couldn't be accessed by user '_apt'. - pkgAcquire::Run (13: Permission denied) W: http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/Release.gpg: Signature by key 4CCA1EAF950CEE4AB83976DCA040830F7FAC5991 uses weak digest algorithm (SHA1) More information might be available at: http://wiki.debian.org/PepperFlashPlayer ---
