Public bug reported:

I tried to sync edbrowse from debian, but syncpackage said:

syncpackage: Error: Source package edbrowse is blacklisted.
syncpackage: If this package needs a fakesync, use --fakesync
syncpackage: If you think this package shouldn't be blacklisted, please file a
bug
syncpackage: explaining your reasoning and subscribe ~ubuntu-archive.
syncpackage: Blacklist Comments:
syncpackage: From sync-blacklist.txt:
syncpackage: # Mozilla stuff
syncpackage: # Also see new rapid release maintenance: LP: #816377
syncpackage: icedove # we call it thunderbird
syncpackage: icedove-l10n
syncpackage: iceweasel # Debian going to name firefox this
syncpackage: iceweasel-linky
syncpackage: firefox # Debian will probably make this transitional to
iceweasel
syncpackage: iceape # we call it mozilla
syncpackage: iceowl-l10n # we call it sunbird
syncpackage: flashplugin-nonfree # permanent fork LP: #597299
syncpackage: edbrowse

The blacklist was ill-advised and should be removed.

edbrowse was changed in ubuntu to depend on xulrunner, introducing delta
against debian. Then xulrunner was dropped from the archive, so
edbrowse was dropped. The debian version is still perfectly valid (and
built in ppa:serge-hallyn/vimprobable).

I believe edbrowse is actually a pretty important package for
accessability, and should be re-added to the archive, synced from
debian.

** Affects: edbrowse (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
