Is there a way to downgrade until this is fixed? Would that be safe?
Would it be worth the trouble (which depends on how long it would take
to fix it)?

This bug really interferes with my flow. I had enabled the option to
make Alt+Tab switch only between applications and got used to it. For
now I disabled it, but if I want to switch back to the last of my three
Terminal windows, I have to hit Alt+Tab and keep holding Alt until the
timeout elapses so that it can spread the Terminal windows letting me
choose the one I want.

I know, I should have heeded the “do not install the development version
on production machines” warning, but I've never had such a problem
before on a development version, specially at a Final Beta stage.
