14.04 didn't release with Xfce 4.12, and thunar-dropbox-plugin wasn't even in the archive, so you seem to have gotten them from a PPA. If the PPA for thunar-dropbox-plugin is not the same one you got thunar from, there may be some incompatibilities (though technically shouldn't be.)
On Wily and Xenial, with thunar 1.6.10-(1,2), thunar-dropbox-plugin 0.2.1+dfsg1-2, and dropbox 3.16.1 I was able to right click the item in the Dropbox folder and copy the URL with no problems. You may want to try running the command `dropbox stop` and `dropbox start -i` rather than logging out and back in, and also take a look at the log ~/.cache/upstart/startxfce4.log when the crash happens. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1566999 Title: Causes Dropbox to crash when context menu item selected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunar-dropbox-plugin/+bug/1566999/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
