Can you run the installer again using the --debug option (open a
Terminal, Applications->Accessories->Terminal, and type `ubiquity
--debug`), and attach /var/log/syslog, /var/log/installer/debug, and
/var/log/partman to this bug report, following the instructions in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs. You can attach
the logs as soon as the installer starts to hang.
