Public bug reported:

I have used all the latest betas of Ubuntu 16.04 and all of them seem to
have very little support for the new Intel Cherry Trail processors and
power management.

When I boot my system the battery is not recognized at all. Hibernation,
Suspend, and Shutdown do not work. I must press and hold the power
button to power off the system.

I compiled a new Linux Kernel version 4.5 and the system will shutdown
properly but no further benifits.

I don't know what it would take to get Ubuntu to recognize the battery
but some work in this area would be nice.

Specific hardware:
Intel Atom x5 z8300
Intel HD Graphics VID:8086 HID:22B0
Intel Battery Management INT33FE
Intel Audio VID:8086 HID:22A8
