Well the current problem is that if you reset the UID/GID, it takes effect
for the whole session.  This means that the control centre is then running
as the new uid/gid that you chose.  The only solution that I see is to spawn
a sep python script that will reset the uid/gid followed by launching the
appropriate terminal.

Not too sure how well that will work though.
