So, playing around with xrandr, I can get my dual monitor working in mirror mode with the following (with DP-0 already enabled due to the previous direct hookup via HDMI):
% xrandr --output LVDS-0 --off % xrandr --output DP-1 --left-of DP-0 % xrandr --output DP-1 --mode 1920x1080 % xrandr Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 16384 x 16384 VGA-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) LVDS-0 connected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 1920x1080 60.15 + 40.06 DP-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 531mm x 299mm 1920x1080 60.00*+ 1680x1050 59.95 1600x1200 60.00 1440x900 59.89 1280x1024 60.02 1280x960 60.00 1152x720 60.00 1024x768 60.00 800x600 60.32 56.25 640x480 59.94 DP-1 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 509mm x 286mm 1920x1080 60.00*+ 1680x1050 59.95 1440x900 74.98 59.89 1280x1024 75.02 60.02 1280x960 60.00 1152x864 75.00 1024x768 75.03 70.07 60.00 800x600 75.00 60.32 56.25 640x480 75.00 59.94 HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DP-3 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) Which leads me to think the problem definitely lies not with X in any way, but with how xfce4-display-settings and it trying to drive something else, libXrandr maybe? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1571533 Title: Cannot use my dual-monitor setup via docking station anymore To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1571533/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
