Public bug reported:
There is a regression in google-chrome-unstable (introduced in Chrome 51) where
the download status does no longer
appear in the Unity launchpad icon for Chrome. This has been reported here:
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=604171
If not fixed in unstable, it will shortly roll to google-chrome-beta
(within the next week or so).
It works correctly in google-chrome-stable (currently Chrome 50).
