the saga continues. I am on this now:

The bcmwl driver did not work, so I had to use this solution to make it work as 
a workaround:
https://github.com/longsleep/bcmwl-ubuntu/issues/10

Before that I watched video and did some downloads, without issues.

I saw this in dmesg which worried me a bit, but I have no freezes so
far:

could that be something that later kernels choke on?
It is still to early to be further conclusive so I'll keep on testing.
