Did a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 and tried to install the usual apps, i.a. Chrome. Installation via Software failed without any message. However, dpkg -i complained about libindicator1 being missing. apt-get revealed that libindicator1 is not in the repos, only libindicator3 and libindicator7.
This is a severe regression, since Chrome is currently the only way of using (paid-for!) services like Netflix. Is there a way around this? Who is responsible for a solution? Canonical or Google? btw, Chrome works fine on another of my machines running 16.04 RC. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1573338 Title: can't install google chrome browser on ubuntu gnome 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nlpsolver/+bug/1573338/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
