Public bug reported:

The module does not load with secure boot, as it seems, because it is
not signed.

I have installed this dkms module with the GUI (Additional Drivers),
which does not trigger any warning or error.

For that reason I did not immediately understand why it wouldn't load.

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert '8812au': Required key not available

However, when re-installing it manually, I could clearly see the
instruction to disable secure boot in order to make it work.

sudo apt-get install rtl8812au-dkms

This should be a problem for regular end-user with little command line
knowledge.

** Affects: rtl8812au (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
