Public bug reported:
The following issue only happens when "Keep previews of minimized
windows" is turned on under Workarounds in CompizConfig.
After I minimize a window, it doesn't loose focus. I tried it with a
text editor: I minimized it, then I typed something and it got typed to
the text editor.
The normal behavior would be giving the focus back to the last
previously active window.
I'm using Ubuntu Mate 16.04, Compiz version is 0.9.12.2
