Running Mint 17, MATE edition. While typing on the keyboard, the terminator
terminal emulator does not show the characters being typed until a couple
seconds later. These kinds of freezes happen every 10 seconds or so.
I thought this was related to python, but killing other Python-based software
did not fix it. Downgrading to Terminator 0.96 from precise-updates did not fix
it. I know that this works on Debian Stable and Ubuntu 14.04.
