Public bug reported:

Hi,

I'm running several virtual ubuntu machines in Virtualbox (latest) on
MacOS.

Today I installed a fresh 16.04 (64 Bit) Lubuntu and, as usual, the
virtualbox-guest-utils. It worked well that way with 14.04, 15.10, 16.04
beta 1 and 16.04 beta 2 (I still have the 14.04 and the 16.04 beta 2,
still running well).

However the 16.04 only works partial. It can crossmount file systems
offered by the host, but does not enlarge the screen to the physical
size, and after login it shows some error messages (see attached screen
shot) about permission denied.

I've found comments about these error messages in the web saying that
this would be a problem between virtualbox and the host os, but since
all other installations work well, it must be a problem of 16.04 final.
