Public bug reported:
USB controllers are not recognized on Ubuntu Studio 16.04 LTS on a
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 system [on chip 2.0 controller (via AMD SB950)
and external onboard 3.0 controller (Etron EJ168)]. Changing EFI values
in BIOS has no effect - system performs nominally within Win8.1.
DVD boots (EFI and legacy load) the live system where no USB devices are
recognized.
USB stick boots (EFI and legacy) with a menu but soon ends with the
following msg:

Last but not least Ubuntu Studio cant be installed due to other bugs (LAN
failure and EFI grub installation abort).
