Seems that those variables are needed for fontconfig to work, ideally
snapcraft would handle them for you

export FONTCONFIG_PATH=$SNAP/etc/fonts/config.d
export FONTCONFIG_FILE=$SNAP/etc/fonts/fonts.conf
