Desktop softwares usually distribute a .desktop, is there any reason
those couldn't be automatically handled rather than requesting the
package to re-create one? It seems like the Exec line could be adapted
(having a snippet letting you specify the command if needed) and the
file copied in /var/lib/snapd so Unity would automatically list those
