ben@shodan:~$ sudo aptitude why caja i ubuntu-mate-desktop Depends caja ben@shodan:~$ sudo aptitude why nautilus i ubuntu-mate-desktop Depends cheese i A cheese Recommends nautilus-sendto i A nautilus-sendto Depends nautilus (>= 1:2.91) If I try to purge either package, apt demands that ubuntu-mate-desktop and other dependent packages also be uninstalled. FYI, I installed Ubuntu MATE via http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mate- dev/trusty-mate/ubuntu + http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mate- dev/ppa/ubuntu PPAs. My original installation was Xubuntu 14.04.4 Trusty LTS x64, but I decided to convert. ** Affects: ubuntu-mate Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: ubuntu-mate-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-mate-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577029 Title: ubuntu-mate-desktop depends on both caja and nautilus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mate/+bug/1577029/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
