I am unable to disable the power save to see if this is a problem, however, supposedly, this powersave will not be activated when the laptop is plugged in. I loaded the system with this plugged in and ran audacity (which causes clicking). This did no solve the problem. So I think it could be a problem with the nouveau driver not loading and a conflict with the graphics.
