I can confirm the amazing changeable size of the 'remaining space on disk' indicator; I can't confirm the rest of it.
The size of the left pane seems to depend on the length of the filename (and height of the space needed to display it). The size of the right pane's 'size remaining' seems completely unrelated to anything, and while mousing over folders it shrinks to normal one-line height. Mouse off and it's back to being something like 4 lines tall.
