Christopher, As indicated here https://www.samba.org/samba/security/CVE-2016-2115.html default settings of Samba may have changed and therefore may require extra new option in global settings to bring back compatibilty... The first I would suggest is try adding the following:
client ipc signing = auto Alternatively you can also try "disable" instead of "auto"... Worth a shot...
