@jsalisbury The issue started when I installed Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 LTS on my laptop, I had the 14.04 LTS version (updated to the latest available packages) before and I didn't have this problem. I have no idea about the kernel version I had before. I tried testing the latest upstream kernel but there's another bug in the Software app, which probably you already know about, and because of this I cannot install any package which may contain third-party software. I won't add a tag since I wasn't able to test the kernel.
