Joseph Salisbury the tablet is already working correctly now. The only problem was that since I upgraded from Ubuntu 15.10 the digimend-dkms package (which is not in the xenial repositores - seems to have been integrated in the kernel) remained. Once I removed this package and rebooted, the correct modules were loaded and the tablet worked as it should. It is not a driver issue, it is a packaging issue, the package needs a "Conflicts: digimend-dkms"
