You have a broken installation of NGINX somehow where your configuration
directory has nginx.conf deleted. You will need to reinstall NGINX and
nginx-common with the following two commands. make sure to take a copy
of your site configurations (if any existed) first:
sudo apt-get purge nginx nginx-core nginx-common
sudo apt-get install nginx nginx-core nginx-common
This will remove nginx, then reinstall it and install a fresh copy of the
default configuration files.
