Public bug reported: I was in the middle of an upgrade from Vivid to Wily. "sudo do-release- upgrade" was running on the system console.
Suddenly, a dialog popped up, saying there's a new version of Ubuntu available, and do I want to upgrade? This dialog was confusing; I didn't know if it was part of the upgrade currently in progress, or some other upgrade. If I had clicked the "Upgrade" button, perhaps it would have launched a Xenial upgrade while the Wily upgrade was still running. I suggest that this dialog should be suppressed if an upgrade is currently in progress. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1581077 Title: Ubuntu asks to upgrade during an upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1581077/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
