Thanks to the guys in the #radeon channel on irc, I found a way to solve the problem. You have to apply this patch to the source of the video driver (xfree86-video-ati-7.7.0) : https://paste.debian.net/plain/682956 and compile then install it (using --prefix=/usr for the configure process).
