Switched to Mate 16.04 since the clicking noise is present in Lubuntu after installing pulseaudio for Skype to run. The Noise is only in the left speaker. Mute fixes it but not acceptable as a fix. Changing the balance to the right speaker DOES NOT FIX THIS (strange). Disabling the microphone does not fix this either.
