Ok so it looks like upgrading to 15.10 the problem has been solved. The "CPU Bug" (attached) is still getting at boot time, but it looks harmless. Also SuperMicro has a FAQ that contains exactly this problem and they say that a BIOS Update solves the problem: http://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/faq.cfm?faq=20349
But the main problem that is the slow-down of the KVM and the errors on dmesg disappeared when upgrading from 15.04 to 15.10 (that upgrades the kernel from 3.16 to 4.2) - I think this ticket can be closed since the solution is to upgrade the distro (probably better to 16.04) ** Attachment added: "cpu-bug.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1581681/+attachment/4663974/+files/cpu-bug.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1581681 Title: KVM slowed down with aparently no reason.
