I'd like to add a suggestion/wishlist item: add a "Complete Reinstall"
option to Synaptic that runs purge and then install on the backend to
completely reset the package. This is useful for cases where a
configuration error has left the package in an unusable state, without
having to manually track down all the configuration files that may be
relevant.
