Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: migration-assistant
Given that in my view the migration-assistant is fairly shaky, should
the install wizard not first ask the user if they want to migrate
anything at all? *Without* first checking for anything that could be
migrated? If users say no, then the assistant would not run *at all* and
could not mess with the installation. More than once it has left me
stumped for no gain.
** Affects: migration-assistant (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New

Proposal: Make migration entirely optional
