Not a tracker bug, and definitely not a bug. This looks like aptitude's
behaviour, but you can safely remove tracker without removing gnome-
applets:
The following packages will be REMOVED:
libdeskbar-tracker tracker tracker-search-tool
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 3 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Try with apt-get, or with 'aptitude remove tracker tracker-search-tool
libdeskbar-tracker'
